The Engineering Society of Multimedia University or also known as ENGSOC is one of the major clubs in Multimedia University. It is designed to serve the needs of the Engineering Society.
Engineering Society consist of nineteen council members, representatives from various courses and an advisor. All engineering students are by default a member of Engineering Society.
The Engineering Society of MMU aspires to be a strong and motivated student organization. Activities such as seminars, forums, exhibitions, educational trips, Engineering Week, Engineering Night and the like are organised throughout the year in different trimester to strengthen the bond among students and staffs.
The Engineering Society of MMU also aims to publicise engineering courses to the public because an engineering degree offers a wide range of career possibilities. Engineers play a primary role in sustaining our nation's international competitiveness, maintaining a good standard of living, ensuring strong national security, and protecting public safety. Even though engineerng requires hard work and advanced technical skills, the need for engineers to think creatively is greater now than before. Only through creativity can engineers cope with and adapt to the rapid social and technological changes. Therefore, the Engineering Society of MMU strives to encourage its members to question, explore, invent, discover, and create.
